It was great fun to sink our teeth into television’s longest-running and most eagerly awaited summer event, writing and designing the marketing materials to promote the next installment of this powerhouse franchise to brand partners.

It was great fun to work with this husband and wife team who spends their days creating beautiful spaces where clients can thrive. Together we created their brand messaging, content strategy and super-popular social videos for their popular interior design company.
For Travel Channel’s Upfront presentation to advertising partners, we communicated the essence of why we all love to travel: to connect, explore and share. This presentation expressed how the brand believes in the spirit of adventure, every single day. And in the power of celebrating moments big or small that touch our lives.
I love to help tastemakers and entrepreneurs express their brand, find their white space in the industry, and articulate their “why”. Ellen Palmer was no exception. This wonderful health and life coach founded the Ideal Life Method, a program that’s helped thousands of people get unstuck, feel great and thrive.
This highly-regarded private school was looking to refresh their brand image and create new marketing materials to appeal to prospective families. Our goal? To write and design admissions tools that would put their brand at the top of the class.
This award-winning architecture firm creates incredible spaces for the world’s leading restaurants and hotel brands. Together we created and expressed their new purpose-driven brand positioning in their culture, process and work. Their story touched all platforms and included a new website, brand video, marketing materials and social and digital media content.
HGTV was coming off the highest-rated and most-watched year in its network history. I was hired to help articulate this success story to the advertising community. This eight-month project included high-level strategy, sales deck writing, video creation, staff workshops, and concepting for dozens of individual advertiser partnerships.
What a privilege to help position this kick-ass organization dedicated to encouraging teen girls to think big, have fun and reach their fullest potential! Girls World approached me to write their marketing materials and create their very first sizzle reel to help sell their program to advertising and media partners.
The lifestyle area is my sweet spot - and not just because it gives me an excuse to pore over my favorite blogs “for work”. I’m lucky enough to collaborate with the biggest food, travel and home brands, creating content for their marketing teams. The rest of the time I fantasize about being the Barefoot Contessa. For this project I wrote and produced a fun video for Food Network to showcase their co-branded partnership opportunities to advertising clients. Take a look!
UP is an emerging TV network that needed to shift the perception of their audience to be “more contemporary, less Midwestern mom jeans.” They had just completed a terrific new research study that captured the value of their viewer. But how to bring the data to life in a fresh and compelling way for advertisers? By creating this multimedia campaign SHE IS UP.
As Co-Creator and Head Writer of the VH1 series Video Timeline, I chronicled the epic careers of famous music artists for 36 episodes of this half-hour show. From Rod to Elton to Bruce to Cheryl, it was a pinch-me project to be able to get inside the heads of the musicians I’ve been listening to forever. I’m a big-time music lover and I tried to inject this passion in every show.
During my tenure at Lifetime I wore a lot of hats, but my favorite project was leading the creative for our ground-breaking Stop Breast Cancer for Life campaign. We created award-winning content for on-air, digital, social, community events – and even inspired millions of people to sign an online petition that led to the passage of new legislation in Washington to protect women’s health rights!
Writing all of the communications for this brand-new organization was a terrific creative exercise as we were building the business from a totally blank slate. In addition to the website, brochure, eblasts and social media, I also came up with campaigns for individual events like visiting festivals, filmmaker series and outdoor movie screenings.
I wrote this book published by Random House with Mom influencer Lyss Stern. The big idea? Give maxed-out moms 100 fun ways to take ten minutes for themselves. We were thrilled to collaborate with celebs, designers and tastemakers like Kelly Ripa, Samantha Bee, Donna Karan, Christy Brinkley and Cynthia Rowley, as well as hundreds of our favorite mom friends who all shared their no-fail secrets.
